ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

AGE LIMIT:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)– Above 21 years – Below 40 years
For Officer Scale- II (Manager)– Above 21 years – Below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)– Above 18 years – Below 30 years
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years

THE MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT SPECIFIED ABOVE IS APPLICABLE TO GENERAL CATEGORY CANDIDATES ONLY. FOR OTHER CATEGORIES THE FOLLOWING RELAXATIONS WOULD APPLY:

4B In the case of Ex- servicemen commissioned officers, including ECOs/ SSCOs, who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt of application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment, subject to ceiling as per Government guidelines (for the post of Officers) 5 years
5 Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried. (only for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) 9 years
6 Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 5 Years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

2 Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) i) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalentPreference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy;
ii) Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s*
iii) Desirable: working knowledge of Computer.

3 Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
4 Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager) Information Technology Officer Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
One year (in the relevant field)
5 Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions

All the exams will be held through online mode and will be of objective type. All sections (except English Language section & Hindi Language section) will be bilingual (i.e. will be asked in both English & Hindi).There will be both sectional as well as overall cut offs in IBPS RRB Officer Grade. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every answer attempted wrong by a candidate in IBPS RRB Exam.

A composite time of 45 minutes is provided to candidates to complete two sections namely Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Candidates must clear the cut-off of each section. The cut-off for each section is decided by the team of IBPS depending on the level of difficulty of the paper

IBPS RRB Syllabus

The IBPS RRB syllabus differs a little bit for Office Assistant and for Officer Grade. The syllabus differs for both IBPS RRB Preliminary Exam and IBPS RRB 2018 Mains Exam.

IBPS RRB Assistant Exam

The IBPS RRB Assistant Exam Syllabus majorly falls into five sections:

IBPS RRB Officer Grade

The syllabus of Officer Grade is almost similar to that of IBPS RRB 2018 Assistant. The only difference occurs in the professional knowledge paper. The Officer Grade has an additional section of General Awareness apart from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi Language, Computer Language, Computer Applications and Professional Knowledge.
